Michael is an Assistant Lecturer in the Independent Learning Centre at CUHK. Originally from the United States, he came to Hong Kong in 2019 and spent a few years teaching and studying at HKU. Prior to this, he worked in Washington, D.C. His interests include English for academic purposes, global citizenship, and comparative higher education policy.

He received his MEd (Distinction) in higher education from the University of Hong Kong, his MA in political science from Virginia Tech, and his BA in history and political science from the University of Pittsburgh.
