Dr. YIU Russell

Dr Yiu is a results-driven professional with over 18 years of information security, data mining and analytics related project and training experience. He possesses in-depth understanding of information security principles, architecture, cryptographic algorithms, security protocols, data mining, big data and data/text analytics technologies.

He has extensive experience in leading people and project teams in information security, big data, and data/text analytics related projects. His project experience in information security included designing and implementing cryptographic applications, performing IT security review and risk assessment, implementing security analytics applications, providing advices in patch management, system hardening, incident responses procedures, designing/conducting information security related training, developing information security policies, procedures, and guidelines, and performing security protocol analysis.

He has also provided project management, implementation, design and consulting services in the data mining and analytics related areas to different sectors such as retail marketing, telecommunications, and legal in Hong Kong and China.

He is currently a Senior Chief Scientist and the Team Leader of the Advanced Computational Technology Team of ClusterTech Limited in Hong Kong.
