Born and raised in Hong Kong, Dr Edward TSE pursued tertiary education overseas on a scholarship provided by Dr CHU Ching-wen.

Dr TSE is the holder of

• Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Civil Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology
• a Master of Business Administration and
• a Doctor of Philosophy in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.

Upon graduation, he worked in renowned management consulting firms including McKinsey & Company and The Boston Consulting Group and started his involvement in China’s management consulting industry.

Before establishing his own company, he worked at the Booz Allen Hamilton and Booz & Company. In 2014, Dr TSE was inspired by a sense of responsibility to contribute to the Chinese market’s development by applying his expertise in business and strategy, which is also the reason behind his decision to set up Gao Feng Advisory Company Limited.

In addition to being the founder of his company, Dr TSE also sits on the boards of three large Chinese state-owned enterprises, and serves as a special policy advisor to the Shanghai Municipal Government and an ex-officio member of the Commission on Strategic Development of the HKSAR.

Dr TSE has been named one of the ‘Top 20 Most Admirable Knowledge Stars in China’ by Manager magazine, and one of the ‘Top 10 Most Insightful and Inspirational Authors in China’ by Business Review magazine.
