Mr. Manly LIU is a Chu Scholar and attended Boston University with a scholarship from Mr CW Chu. He held a Guggenheim Merit Fellowship at Princeton and obtained an MS in Aeronautical & Astronomical Engineering from MIT. He is also a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), and Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR) professional. He has completed the MIT Fintech: Future Commerce online course and recently completed the ESG Reporting Certification Course at The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute (HKCGI), and is passionate about innovative and sustainable investment.

He is a seasoned investment manager with almost 30 years of experience in global capital markets. He gained experience in risk management at Fidelity Investments (Boston); quantitative analysis at Springfield Group; and investment advisory at Morgan Stanley. He was Senior VP at Asia Financial Assets Management Ltd (hedge funds with AUM over US $100 M) and the HKSFC-licensed Responsible Officer for the Asset Management Division at CITIC Capital (AUM over US$170 M).

Mr. Liu is the Chief Executive Officer of V Carbon ESG Limited, destined to create great impact on environmental, social, and economic development in Papua New Guinea.
