Prof. WONG Ka Leung Gary

Prof. Ka-Leung Wong is a Chair Professor of Chemistry at the Department of Applied Biology and Chemical Technology at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). His research interests include image-guided cancer therapy, lanthanide chemistry, and spectroscopy. Prof. Wong designs organic and inorganic materials as imaging probes and studies biological processes to pinpoint key interactions for further optimization of their materials for practical biological applications. His work contributes significantly to the fields of bioinorganic chemistry, luminescent materials, and spectroscopy. Prof. Wong is also on the Editorial Board of several well-known academic journals such as Journal of Luminescence and ChemPlusChem. Prof. Wong served as the Student Resident Hall Master during his time in HKBU, keep in touch with the younger generations and guiding them through the challenges and experiences in hall life.
