Mr. FONG Chung Mark 方中

Mark is the honorary advisor of Grant Thornton Hong Kong Ltd. He obtained his BSc from University College, London, and MSc from the University of Surrey.

Mark has over 40 years of experience in the accounting profession and was the President of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants in 2007. He was the Managing Partner of Moores Rowland Hong Kong, a CPA firm. Since late 1990s he led the firm through a series of mergers and acquisitions to achieve a critical mass to provide a full range of professional, specialized services to meet the increasingly diverse needs of local and international clients. From 2009 until his retirement in Jan 2014, Mark was the Executive Director of China development of Grant Thornton International Ltd. (GTI), and was responsible for representing its interests in the development and growth in the PRC, spearheading the rapid expansion of GTI network in the PRC. He was the Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants until January 2019 and has also served on the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales from 2016 to 2018.
