Eligible Activities

The activity requirements of GECW1000-4000 could be fulfilled by participating in any physical or virtual activities organized by the College. The eligibility criteria for activity participation to count towards the course requirements will be outlined in the relevant mass email and promotional channels.

1. Any activities organized by the College Office and Resident Tutors (RTs) formally announced via the College mass email and other promotional channels.

2. Any sports activities arranged by the College Office or jointly organized with PEU or other colleges formally announced via the College mass email and other promotional channels.

3. Any activities organized by the official student bodies of CWC (e.g. Student Honour Code Committee, Organizing Committee of CWC Festival, College Dance Team, GE Project Teams) and/or new student clubs recognized by the College. Event details will be announced via the College mass email and/ or other promotional channels. The organization of these activities also counts, except for GE Project Teams.

4. The following activities, initiated by the College Service Team and completed under the specified conditions, will be recognized. The organization of these activities also counts. Event details will be announced via the College mass email and/ or other promotional channels. Examples include:

• Cultural Eating Party
• Miniature Hunt
• DIY Miniature Workshop

As a matter of principle, service should be entirely voluntary without any motives. Therefore, participation in service activities (i.e., serving the community), whether as Service Team Members or general participants, will NOT be counted.

Attendance Record

Students’ attendance at the above activities will be recorded by the College’s electronic attendance taking machines/ hard copy signing sheets/ Zoom records, so there is NO need for participants to provide additional attendance proof. The College Office will upload the attendance record of all these activities to the Registration and Attendance System (RAS) within two weeks upon completion of each activity.
Students should login to RAS for checking your own attendance record regularly, and inform the College Office immediately if there are any missing records.
