Mr LUNG Tak Yee 龍德義

Mr Lung Tak Yee holds a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics) from CUHK, as well as a Diploma in Teacher Education and a Master of Philosophy (Educational Psychology). He previously served as a secondary school mathematics teacher and was the principal of the Po Leung Kuk CW Chu College before his retirement.
From 2018 to 2024, he was elected as the president of the Alumni Association of the Department of Mathematics at CUHK. Therefore, Mr. Lung has a strong sense of belonging to CW Chu College CUHK.
Mr Lung is concerned with the development of mathematics education and has been appointed as a member of the Mathematics Education, CDCC, HKSAR, where he also served as the chairperson.
Mr Lung is passionate about researching and promoting mathematical games. Since 2007, he has been writing a mathematics education column under the pseudonym “Principal Lung” in the education section of Sing Tao Daily for over ten years. He has been involved in promoting local gifted education in mathematics since 1996. He is currently designing and teaching mathematics problem-solving for the “Program for the Gifted & Talented, CUHK”. Over the years, he has trained and enhanced students’ thinking and problem-solving abilities through various mathematical games.
