Dr. LUM Chor Ming Christopher 林楚明
Dr. Lum graduated from the University of Hong Kong in 1985 and received his professional training and specialist qualifications between 1993 and 1998. Dr. Lum is a life learner and obtained further Master’s degrees in Public Health (CUHK), Exercise and Nutrition Science (Liverpool) and Guidance and Counselling (HKPU) by 2015. Currently he is Consultant Geriatrician at Shatin Hospital and honorary teaching staff at both CUHK and HKU. At work, Dr. Lum is both a ‘high tech’ and ‘high touch’ person, and he views healthcare workers have the duty to care with professionalism. Beyond work, he also participated in mentorship programs at HKU and his secondary school.Dr. Lum believes that while nature gives individual the talent, full exhibition of it requires nurturing. It is important one recognises his/ her own potential, and be able to reflect or being mentored on personal growth and maturation. While challenges are there at study or at work, options and opportunities are always present for those equipped. Though temptations are everywhere, virtue can guide us towards righteous acts. Dr. Lum looks forward to sharing his experience at work in healthcare or at life with future societal successors.
